THE BIG BANG

spent sleepless nights the past 2-3 wks deciding which school i shd go to.
was offered by A and waitlisted at B. i indicated my continued interest in B and a few days
later after their dateline for accepted applicants to acknowledge their placings, i got the email
that i had made it into the main pool of accepted students from the waitlist.
i was the 3rd on the waitlist. then the dilemma began.... ~


i wasnt that keen to go to A but i grew to like the school after much research. and i had kinda
set my heart to head to the school in sept. plus, my interaction with them had always been
friendly and they are always quick to respond to my queries. they also offered a MD instead
of the usual mbbs. they had links with harvard and had just recently signed an internship
agreement with john hopkins sg. everything was really really promising to me and i was
looking forward to the school. most importantly, i felt i shd go to that school. a gut feeling.
ive liked what i saw in the videos posted on youtube as well.... so, i was really struggling to
find reasons not to like them and reject them.


anyway, to cut the long story short, after tearing the web n fb apart searching for sources
to talk with, i managed to find a few students from both schools to speak to and asked qns..
and after much struggle, i decided to let go of school A and be sure about school B.
ive always maintained that i prefer to go with the heart than with prestige.. thatz y it was a
really huge struggle in coming to terms with making the final decision.
but in dis situation, i guess after weighing out the pros n cons, i had to be practical n not
go with the heart. B is fast rising up the rankings in the world and especially in asia.. with
its wide collaborations with other unis n better facilities n lecturers, they may soon be
recognized by smc. hopefully within these 6 yrs. haha.


i hope i had made the right decision.
now to inform A of my decision ~
