AGE

. . . .

people often say age is just a number.
i say, it's not entirely true.

with age, comes wisdom, stability, maturity. for most.
thus, it's been really tough for me to blend in with my classmates.
most of them are under 20.
they will never understand, at their stage now, the things ive experienced,
the things ive seen and the things ive been through.

to them, it's a given they r in medicine coz they scored d grades needed.
to them, it's a given they r provided n supported by their parents thru med.
to them, it's a given they need not work while in school.
to them, they gossip abt d guys, d gals, everything under d sky.
they do not understand wat it means to work in a team. they protect their
own interests first. they care abt the 0.01 difference in their marks.
they do not understand wat it means to keep to their word. what it means
to be a friend and not friends of benefits.

so, it's hard. i got pissed when they do not communicate info n msgs down
a group. worst still, they cater to the whims of a person just becoz they see
d person as a source of help, a source of benefit for themselves.
that's not being friends. that's being friends of benefits.

i'm still looking. looking for people i can click and live with n lean on for
the next 6 years. they may come from d batch, they may come from other
places. i wldnt know. i believe these people will cross my path someday.
i hope they turn up soon.

. . . .
